April 2025 - Awards galore at the URC Closing Ceremony: Itzel was one of the LEDA Outstanding Commercialization Award winner, Isabella was awarded the Outstanding Poster Award (2nd place) in the Health Track, Posy was awarded the Outstanding Undergraduate Researcher award, and Prof. Srivastava was awarded the Outstanding Mentor award for the second consecutive year (Link).
April 2025 - Prof. Srivastava was inducted into the Texas Tech President’s STEM Mentoring Academy.
March 2025- Isabella was awarded the prestigious national award, Barry Goldwater Scholarship award in the field of Engineering. Big Congrats, Bella!!
March 2025- Asma is officially a Ph.D. candidate after completing her qualifying presentation over 3D Tumor-Mimicking Phantom Models for Assessing NIR-I/II Nanoparticles in Fluorescence-Guided Surgical Interventions. Good job Asma!
March 2025- Itzel was selected as a LEDA commercialization award finalist for this year’s URC. Great work Itzel!
February 2025- Prof. Srivastava was featured in The Daily Toreador for our AHA Institutional Research Enhancement Award- supported research to develop nanosensors for atherosclerosis detection and surgical interventions.
February 2025 - Isabella won the 'Overall Top Winner' award, and Asma won the 'Best Poster' award at the TTU WCOE Research Day 2025, out of 100 poster competitors. Big Congrats!

November 2024 - The Srivastava Lab is awarded the American Heart Association AIREA grant. This $200k grant for 2 years will allow us to develop platelet-like afterglow imaging agents for early, precise detection of atherosclerosis plaques.
